IMMERSIVE PERFORMANCE

Immersive light and music experiences transform how we perceive sound and space, creating a multisensory world where the boundaries between hearing and seeing dissolve. My light membrane installations embody this fusion, rooted in the profound complementarity of music and light. In these spaces, I listen to music as it unfolds in real time, letting each note and rhythm guide the visual landscape.

As the music plays, I visualise what I hear—translating sound into shifting patterns, colours, and intensities of light that ripple across translucent membranes. The light becomes a living, breathing partner to the music, responding instantly to its energy, texture, and emotion. Each installation is unique, shaped by the music’s dynamics and nuances: a gentle melody might evoke soft, undulating glows, while a driving beat sends pulses of brilliance surging through the space.

Through this process, the installations invite visitors to step into a world where music is not only heard but also seen—where light and sound intertwine to create an immersive, synesthetic experience. The result is a shared environment that encourages deeper listening and a heightened sense of presence, blurring the line between art forms and inviting everyone to experience music in a new dimension.
